COVID-19 CLAIMS 35 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 1,382 AS OF TUESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 35 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,382 as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,282 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 105,073. The new cases include:

*258 in Multnomah County

*168 in Clackamas County

*161 in Marion County

*153 in Washington County

*85 in Lane County

*63 in Jackson County

*52 in Deschutes County

*49 in Umatilla County

*41 in Yamhill County

*34 in Polk County

*32 in Linn County

*23 in Klamath County

*20 each in Hood River and Jefferson counties

*17 in Malheur County

*12 each in Coos, Tillamook and Umatilla counties

*11 in Columbia County

*10 each in Benton and Union counties

*9 in Baker County

*7 in Crook County

*6 each in Douglas and Lincoln counties

*5 in Wasco County

*4 each in Curry, Josephine and Morrow counties

*2 each in Clatsop and Lake counties

*1 each in Grant and Wheeler counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 41 to 96.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 524, which is 4 fewer than on Monday. There are 119 hospitalized COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 fewer than on Monday.

On Monday, 2,573 doses of vaccine were administered, raising the state’s total number of first vaccine doses to 7,203. All vaccinations occurred at Oregon hospitals and long-term care facilities.
