COVID-19 has claimed 21 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,403 as of Wednesday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,000 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 105,970. The new cases include:

*127 in Marion County
*117 in Washington County
*73 in Lane County
*64 in Clackamas County
*48 each in Jackson and Linn counties
*41 in Deschutes County
*33 in Umatilla County
*32 in Yamhill County
*30 in Klamath County
*28 in Polk County
*20 in Malheur County
*18 in Clatsop County
*17 in Josephine County
*16 in Benton County
*14 in Wasco County
*10 each in Douglas and Columbia counties
*8 in Jefferson County
*7 in Coos County
*5 each in Baker, Hood River and Lincoln counties
*4 in Tillamook County
*3 each in Cook and Wheeler counties
*2 in Union County
*1 each in Grant, Morrow and Sherman counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 53 to 96.
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 527, which is 3 more than on Tuesday. There are 19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 10 fewer than on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, 2,449 doses of vaccine were administered, raising the total number of first vaccine doses to 10,407. OHA said all vaccinations occurred at Oregon hospitals and long-term care facilities.
