COVID-19 CLAIMS 21 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 1,283 AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 21 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,283, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,339 new confirmed and positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 98,936. The new cases include:

*250 in Multnomah County

*218 in Washington County

*173 in Clackamas County

*148 in Marion County

*82 in Jackson County

*74 in Lane County

*60 in Linn County

*48 in Deschutes County

*34 in Umatilla County

*27 in Yamhill County

*24 in Josephine County

*23 in Hood River County

*20 each in Benton and Polk counties

*19 in Klamath County

*18 in Columbia County

*13 each in Malheur and Union counties

*12 in Douglas and Tillamook counties

*10 in Jefferson County

*9 in Wasco County

*8 in Lincoln County

*5 each in Coos and Morrow counties

*4 in Crook County

*3 in Clatsop and Gilliam counties

*2 in Baker County

*1 each in Curry and Wheeler counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 62 to 94. 10 lived in Multnomah County. 2 each lived in Marion and Washington counties. 1 each lived in Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, Lane, Malheur and Yamhill counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 551, 3 fewer than Wednesday. There are 113 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is unchanged from Wednesday.
