MAN JAILED FOR SIX COUNTS OF ENCOURAGING CHILD SEX ABUSE

A Myrtle Creek man has been jailed for six counts of encouraging child sex abuse.

A report from Myrtle Creek Police said an investigation into suspected child pornography being uploaded and downloaded led to the serving of a search warrant at a residence in Myrtle Creek. Officers from MCDP, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, and an agent from the Portland office of the Federal Bureau of investigation all responded to serve the warrant.

18-year old Daniel Capelle was taken into custody on $600,000 bail.

Detective Kevin Taggart said an investigation is ongoing.
