2 more people have died from COVID-19 in Douglas County and 11 more people have received positive test results, as of Friday.
County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the 28th death was a 71-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID and admitted to the hospital on November 28th. She passed away on Monday December 7th. The 29th death is a 70-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID on November 9th and admitted to the hospital on November 13th. He passed away on Wednesday.
An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases is now at 1,171. Of those, 1,096 are people that have received positive test results and 75 are presumptive. 14 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are being hospitalized locally. 197 people are in isolation. 317 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 514 people that are either in isolation or quarantine.
