Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged assault on Tuesday.

Information from Roseburg Police said at about 11:45 a.m. the 43-year old reportedly tried to lock her in her car, take her keys, and pulled her hair to the point where she had to bite him to get away. The report said the pair fought in a vehicle in the 1200 block of Fullerton until the suspect let go of the victim’s hair and she was able to get away.

The man was charged with fourth degree assault and for three warrants. He was detained on $8,750 bail.
