A 24-year old man was jailed by Oregon State Police early Saturday, following a traffic stop on Interstate Five southbound near Canyonville.
An OSP report said just after 12:15 a.m. a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The driver fled the vehicle and a foot pursuit ensued. A deputy from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office assisted and the suspect was apprehended a short time later.
John Lander was charged with attempting to elude on foot, for unlawful possession of methamphetamine, for driving while suspended, and for three warrants. Lander was detained on $20,000 bail.
