SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD ASSISTANCE BENEFITS AVAILABLE

December 4, 2020 10:00 a.m.

The Oregon Department of Human Services will issue emergency supplemental allotments to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipients on December 11th.

A release said SNAP recipients do not have to take any action to receive the additional benefits as they will be placed directly on their Oregon EBT cards. The release said households receiving SNAP benefits will see the additional supplement to their benefits based on a maximum allotment scale.

Households already at the maximum allotment will not receive an additional benefit supplement.

A second release of emergency supplemental allotments will take place on December 31st for anyone who began receiving SNAP benefits after December 11th. Households only receive one allotment.
