A Myrtle Creek man was jailed on methamphetamine charges Wednesday evening.
Lieutenant Rick McArthur of the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team said detectives had conducted an investigation that led to suspicion that 45-year old Clarence Whitmore was selling meth. McArthur said at about 11:00 p.m. DINT and officers from the Myrtle Creek Police Department contacted Whitmore at a business in the 600 block of North Myrtle Road.
A search allegedly revealed approximately 19.5 grams of suspected meth. Whitemore was charged with unlawful possession and delivery of meth and for a parole violation. He was detained without bail.
