The Douglas Education Service District is hosting a free virtual informational session for anyone who might be interested in a teaching career on Tuesday.

ESD Human Resources Director Holly Hill said that despite the pandemic, teaching remains a viable and needed career. Hill said college representatives from four universities and one community college will make presentations. Those schools are George Fox University, Grand Canyon University, Western Oregon University, Bushnell University and Umpqua Community College.

Hill said additional information will be provided about scholarships that are available for people interested in teaching special education. The meeting will take place via ZOOM from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Call 957-4837 for more information.
