AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF THE COUNTY

11/27/20 6:20 a.m.

DOUGLAS COUNTY – An Air Stagnation Advisory is currently in effect for much of the area, and is expected to last through the weekend.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service say the advisory includes central Douglas County, eastern Douglas County foothills, the south-central Oregon Cascades, and the Siskiyou Mountains.

Forecasters say high pressure over the area will result in light winds, strong valley inversions, and limited mixing, leading to conditions that are likely to result in periods of diminished air quality.

Effected cities include Drain, Elkton, Roseburg, Sutherlin, Green, Myrtle Creek, and Canyonville.
