HABITAT FOR HUMANITY MOVING

11/25/20 6:15 a.m.

WINSTON – Umpqua Valley Habitat for Humanity has had its shop and warehouse at the old Starlight Drive-In Theater for years, but now has to move by December 1st.

The facility has been used to build cabinets, and to store donated furniture and building supplies.

A Black Friday sale is being held this Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to clear out the warehouse. Bargains will include dressers, desks, sofas, chairs, beds, filing cabinets, plumbing and electrical supplies, and lots more. What is not sold Friday will then be given to neighboring Habitat affiliates to pick up and sell at their facilities.

Habitat is in urgent need of a new facility for a workshop and ultimately a store where donated furniture and materials can be sold.

The former theater is on Grant Smith Road, east of Interstate 5 near the Winston Exit.
