Douglas Education Service District is hosting a free virtual informational session for those who might be interested in a teaching career.

Holly Hill from ESD said the meeting will take place via Zoom on December first from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Participants will learn the steps needed to become a K-12 teacher.

Hill said despite the pandemic, ESD wants to remind people that teaching remains a viable and needed career. She said the evening will include college representatives from three universities and one community college to share information about teaching.

Hill said additional information will be provided about scholarships that are available for people interested in teaching special education.
