Cleanup efforts continue to deal with the Archie Creek Fire and other fires in the region.
An update from the Federal Emergency Management Agency said per the state, Environmental Protection Agency wildfire debris removal will end by Saturday. Oregon’s Debris Management Task Force is leading hazardous waste cleanup, prioritized due to the immediate threat to health, safety and the environment.
Assessments by the Erosion Threat Assessment Reduction Team are now complete on the Archie Creek, Holiday Farm, Riverside and Beachie Creek fires. The field teams are transitioning to analyses and writing reports and recommendations for post-fire mitigation opportunities.
