TRANSIENT JAILED FOLLOWING ALLEGED ATTEMPTED STABBING

A transient was jailed following an alleged attempted stabbing on Sunday night.

A report from Sutherlin Police said at about 8:45 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of West Dean. The report said that 38-year Raul Ramirez-Marin had tried to stab a male victim with a pair of scissors and was successful in cutting the man’s finger. The report said the suspect was already prohibited from having contact with the victim.

Charges include unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, second degree disorderly conduct and for a probation violation. Ramierez-Marin was held without bail.
