WIND ADVISORY SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING

A Wind Advisory is in effect from 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon through 4:00 a.m. on Sunday for parts of central Douglas County and nearby areas.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour are expected with gusts of 40 to 50 miles per hour. The Advisory area includes the higher terrain in western through southern and eastern Douglas County, along with Josephine County and eastern Curry County. It also includes the Interstate Five corridor between Canyonville and Wolf Creek.

Forecasters said gusty winds could blow unsecured objects around. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
