Another event is not happening this year. Organizers have announced that the Douglas County Fairgrounds 2020 Christmas Craft Fair will not take place.

The annual fair had been scheduled for December 4th through the 6th. Ciera Keith of the fairgrounds staff said with the increase in COVID-19 cases drastically rising recently, Director Dan Hults consulted with public health officials. They agreed that in the interest of public safety, the Christmas Craft Fair should be canceled.

Hults said “as always, our community safety is what is most important, and although we have worked really hard to come up with a plan for this year, it just isn’t safe to have the event”. Hults said staff will be working hard so make sure the fair can continue in 2021.
