WIND ADVISORY FOR PARTS OF CENTRAL DOUGLAS COUNTY

A Wind Advisory for parts of central Douglas County will be in effect from 4:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said south winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts of 40 to 50 miles per hour are expected.

The Advisory area includes the Interstate Five corridor in southern Douglas County including Canyonville and continues south into Josephine County and eastern Curry County.

Forecasters said travel will be difficult, especially in high profile vehicles. Gusty winds will blow unsecured objects around. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
