A Roseburg man was jailed for an alleged burglary and car theft on Wednesday.
A report from Roseburg Police said at 3:30 a.m. 34-year old Reyes Martinez was contacted during a traffic stop after he was reportedly seen driving in the wrong direction on Southeast Stephens. The report said during an investigation it was learned that the car the man was driving had just been stolen from BL Automotive on Diamond Lake Boulevard.
The report said Martinez and at least one other male had allegedly burglarized the business, stolen two vehicles, a firearm and other property. The second vehicle was located a few hours later.
Martinez was charged with two counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, felon in possession of a firearm, first degree burglary and two counts of second-degree theft. Bail was set at $356,250.
