HIGHEST DAILY STATE CASE COUNT FOR COVID-19 REPORTED SATURDAY

On Saturday, the Oregon Health Authority reported the highest daily case count for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

988 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 were announced along with 13 more deaths. That raises the state’s death toll to 729 and brings the state case count to 49,587.

The new confirmed and presumptive cases include:

*240 in Multnomah County

*133 in Washington County

*129 in Clackamas County

*78 in Jackson County

*75 each in Marion and Lane counties

*45 in Yamhill County

*32 in Deschutes County

*27 in Umatilla County

*23 in Douglas County

*17 in Grant County

*15 in Malheur County

*12 each in Klamath, Linn and Polk counties

*10 in Josephine County

*8 in Benton County

*5 in Baker County

*4 each in Clatsop, Coos, Jefferson, Tillamook and Wasco counties

*3 in Columbia County

*2 each in Crook, and Morrow counties

*1 each in Harney, Hood River, and Wallowa counties

The newest deaths ranged in age from 58 to 94. 6 lived in Multnomah County. 4 lived in Washington County. 1 each lived in Lane, Marion and Clackamas counties.
