A planned power outage will affect around 1,100 customers of Douglas Electric Cooperative later this month.
Member Services Director Todd Munsey said the Bonneville Power Administration will be replacing some equipment in their Drain substation beginning Saturday night November 14th at approximately 11:30 p.m. Munsey said this will result in a temporary power outage for about 1,100 members living in Elkton, Scottsburg, Loon Lake, Ash Valley and the surrounding areas. Power is scheduled to be restored around 4:00 a.m. on November 15th. Munsey said the outage will affect members west of the Elkton tunnel, but will not include residents served by the City of Drain.
Munsey said members, particularly those with medical conditions, should make necessary preparations. Call Douglas Electric Cooperative at 673-6616 for more information.
