65,673 registered voters cast a ballot in the November General Election in Douglas County, in final unofficial results that were forwarded to the State Elections Division early Wednesday.

Douglas County Clerk Daniel Loomis told News Radio 1240 KQEN that just over 78 percent of the 84,117 registered voters turned in a ballot. Loomis said just over 7 percent of the ballots were turned in, in the 24 hours before the 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night deadline.

Loomis said the numbers will continue to change as challenged ballots are corrected by voters between now and November 17th.
