All four ballot measures on Oregon’s General Election ballot were passed by voters on Tuesday.
Measure 107 which amends the state constitution to allow laws limiting political campaign contributions and expenditures passed by a margin of 78 percent to 22 percent.
Measure 108 increases cigarette and cigar taxes and establishes a tax on e-cigarettes and nicotine vaping devices. It passed 66 percent to 34 percent
Measure 109 allows the manufacture, delivery and administration of psilocybin mushrooms in a therapeutic setting. It won by a vote of 56 percent to 44 percent. Oregon becomes the first state in the nation to make this move.
Measure 110 provides funding for statewide addiction and recovery services by taxing some revenue from the sale of marijuana, and reclassifies personal non-commercial possession of certain drugs from being a felony or misdemeanor to a Class E violation subject to either a $100 fine or a completed health assessment by a designated center. The first state in the nation’s move to decriminalize small amounts of heroin and other street drugs, passed 58 percent to 41 percent.
Measure 107 passed in Douglas County, while the other three questions were defeated by county voters.
