More than $2 million dollars has been dispersed through a new state program to help people who work in Oregon and need to quarantine or isolate due to COVID-19 exposure, but who do not have access to COVID-19 related paid sick leave.
A release from the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services said more than 2,000 people have been approved to receive benefits and money is still available to help more. Those who qualify will receive a $120 per-day payment for up to 10 working days for the time they need to quarantine.
