COVID-19 CLAIMS 9 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL TO 701 AS OF TUESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 9 more lives, raising the state death toll to 701, as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 495 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state case total to 46,460. The new cases include:

*70 in Jackson County

*64 in Marion County

*61 in Multnomah County

*57 in Washington County

*56 in Clackamas County

*26 in Lane County

*21 in Linn County

*16 each in Malheur and Umatilla counties

*13 in Polk County

*12 in Deschutes County

*11 in Yamhill County

*10 in Douglas County

*9 in Benton County

*8 each in Baker, Clatsop and Union counties

*7 in Klamath County

*4 each in Columbia and Grant counties

*3 in Josephine County

*2 each in Sherman, Tillamook, and Wallowa counties

*1 each in Coos, Hood River, Jefferson, Morrow, and Wasco counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 47 to 95. 2 each lived in Multnomah, Clackamas and Marion counties. 1 each lived in Jefferson, Josephine, and Washington counties.
