Two people were taken to Mercy Medical Center following an early morning wreck on Monday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 12:30 a.m. two drivers had just gotten off work, and were both headed east on Riddle Bypass Road. The report said visibility conditions were poor, due to fog. The first vehicle hit a deer and the second vehicle ran into the back of the first one.

The first driver complained of neck pain and was taken to the hospital via ambulance. The second driver was driven to the hospital in a private vehicle, after he complained of head pain.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
