Roseburg Police jailed a Winston man in connection with an alleged firearms incident on Thursday.

An RPD report said 36-year old Brandon Love had reported that a woman and her two daughters were missing along with several of his firearms. On the day of Love’s report, neighbors said he had removed several gun safes from his residence. During a follow-up investigation, the report said Love was found to have taken the guns himself and there was also evidence he had lied about the woman and her daughters being missing.

The report said the woman and the children have been contacted and are fine.

Love was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, first degree theft and for initiating a false report. Bail was set at $101,250.
