A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged menacing incident on Thursday.
A report from Roseburg Police said at about 12:10 a.m. said officers had the second response of the night to a domestic disturbance in the 1700 block of Klamath. The report said 28-year old Austin Johnson had reportedly beat on and broken a locked door while the victim and a friend hid from him inside that room. The victim also suffered a swollen eye and claimed that Johnson had hit her on the head with a blunt object.
He was charged with menacing, harassment and for second degree disorderly conduct. Johnson was released from custody later in the day.
