Nearly 38 percent of registered voters have already cast their ballot in the November General Election.

Douglas County Clerk Daniel Loomis told News Radio 1240 KQEN that 31,661 ballots have been received. That is over 13 percent ahead of the participation rate for the 2016 Presidential election, and over 15 percent ahead of the rate for the 2012 Presidential election.

Loomis said so far nearly 39 percent of ballots have arrived via the U.S. Postal Service. Nearly 23 percent have come directly to the courthouse and the remainder have come from the drop box sites.

Ballots are due back by 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 3rd. A list of drop box locations is posted with this story at www.541radio.com: https://www.co.douglas.or.us/clerk/drop_site_locations.asp
