SUTHERLIN MAN INDICTED ON TWO COUNTS OF MANSLAUGHTER

A Sutherlin man was indicted on two counts of manslaughter along with other charges, by a Douglas County Grand Jury on Thursday.

A report from Oregon State Police said on September 19th at approximately 9:15 p.m. a pickup operated by 36-year old Dustin Robinson was westbound on Highway 42 between Green and Winston, when it went off the road. The vehicle struck a sedan driven by 20-year old William McCullough IV at the intersection of the highway and Jackie Avenue, near the Green Bridge. McCullough and his passenger, 20-year Mark Ritter, both of Roseburg, sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Oregon State Police arrested Robinson on Thursday. Additional charges include driving while under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving. Bail was initially set at $200,000.

Arraignment is set for Friday afternoon.
