October 23, 2020 5:00 p.m.

The 24-hour lane closures that have been in effect on a 20-mile stretch of Oregon 138E between Idleyld and Steamboat have been lifted.

Information from the Oregon Department of Transportation said cleanup work on the Archie Creek Fire will resume on Sunday and will continue Sundays through Fridays for the next several weeks. Motorists should expect lane closures between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and 20-minute delays between the two locations. All lanes are expected to be open each Saturday.

Multiple work zones will be in place through this area. Flaggers will provide traffic control as needed.

The ODOT release said all forest lands are closed within the burn area. Motorists are advised to stay in their cars and avoid parking along the shoulder due to ongoing hazardous conditions.
