ROSEBURG POLICE CITE MAN FOLLOWING CAMPAIGN SIGN INCIDENT

Roseburg Police cited a man following a campaign sign incident that took place on Monday.

Information from RPD said that morning at about 8:45 a.m., video camera footage reportedly captured a vehicle park in front of a location in the 1000 block of Southeast Stephens. The report said a man got out of the vehicle, jumped over a chain link fence into the front yard of the residence. The footage then showed the man pulling a Trump sign out of the ground, before jumping back over the fence and throwing the sign into the street.

The 40-year old suspect was contacted on Tuesday at about 12:00 p.m. and was cited for second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree mischief. He was released after the citation was issued.
