The Disaster Survivor Assistance location at the former Glide Middle School will close at the end of the day on Wednesday.
Nate Custer from the Federal Emergency Management Agency said it remains open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until then.
Custer said housing assistance is available to survivors displaced by the Oregon wildfires. The first step in finding out what assistance is available is to apply with FEMA for federal disaster assistance. He said DSA teams are conducting outreach and distributing disaster information to non-congregate shelters, faith and community-based organizations and older adult populations in Douglas and the other seven designated counties impacted by the fires. Over 532,172 survivors have been helped to date.
