ECHO Douglas is offering a volunteer discovery Zoom meeting as it seeks to build the group of people interested in helping to lessen the burden placed on Department of Human Services staff and foster families.

A release said ECHO Douglas aims to provide love, care, and support for vulnerable children and families in the county. Two ways that can be done is for volunteers to become advocates and assist in several ways:

Advocate:

*Increase awareness of the cause with family and friends

*Promote the cause via social media

*Recruit volunteers to help serve vulnerable children and families

*Obtain financial sponsors and donors to help continue the mission

Assist:

*Help ECHO with hospitality, events, activities and initiatives

*Help with clerical and data entry tasks for ECHO Douglas

*Help families with relief care, skills training, and tutoring through DHS
