COMMAND OF THE ARCHIE CREEK FIRE IS TRANSITIONING

Command of the Archie Creek Fire east of Glide is transitioning.

Sunday is the final day of command for Northwest Incident Management Team 12.  A release said a local unit will take control of the fire Sunday night at 6:00 p.m.

Most remaining resources are demobilizing from the fire. Crews will continue suppression repair work on containment lines to restore natural drainage on the landscape.

146 people are assigned to the fire which remains 95 percent contained.
