Demobilization of fire resources continues on the Archie Creek Fire, east of Glide.

An update from Northwest Incident Management Team 12 said a local unit will take command of the fire on Sunday night. Firefighters continue to monitor and patrol the fire area. Suppression repair work is also continuing on the containment lines to restore natural drainage on the landscape. Resource Advisors from the Forest Service are working closely with firefighters to minimize erosion and protect resources. Hazard trees and snags along transportation corridors are being removed.

The fire remains 95 percent contained with 186 people assigned to the fire.
