MAN JAILED FOR CRIMINAL MISCHIEF AND ASSAULT FOLLOWING THURSDAY NIGHT INCIDENT

A Roseburg man was jailed for first degree criminal mischief and fourth degree assault, following an incident on Thursday night.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 10:30 p.m. 22-year old Phoenix Adkins had allegedly smashed the window out of a victim’s vehicle and caused other damage in the 200 block of Lower Crest Road in Oakland.

The report said the suspect reportedly punched the victim several times in the face, in an argument over a third person. Adkins was attempting to leave when the incident took place. The victim had injuries to their face and wanted to press charges.

Bail was set at $56,250.
