Fire resources are beginning to demobilize on the Archie Creek Fire, east of Glide.

An update from Northwest Incident Management Team 12 said the plan is for a local unit to take command of the fire on Sunday night. Firefighters are continuing to patrol and monitor around the fire area. Suppression repair work on the containment lines to restore natural drainage on the landscape is underway as well.

Fire crews are retrieving any remaining equipment left along the fire line. Hazard trees and snags are also being removed.

The fire is still listed as being 95 percent contained, with 235 people assigned to it.
