The district manager and a board member of the Umpqua Public Transportation District have received a professional honor.

UPTD General Manager Cheryl Cheas was named the Outstanding Transit Manager for 2019-2020 by the Oregon Transit Association. Founding board member Mike Baker was selected as the 2019-2020 Outstanding Board Member by the same organization.

Their honor was commended by Board Chair John Parker at the group’s last board meeting. An official event to mark the awards has been postponed.
