Two people were jailed in a stolen vehicle incident on Tuesday night.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said just before 11:30 p.m. a deputy located an occupied vehicle that had been stolen out of Florence, in the 400 block of Five Mile Road, north of Gardiner. The report said 51-year old Thomas Anderson was evasive in answering questions about the vehicle and how it came to be stuck in a tank-trap, leading to DR Johnson timber property.
Both Anderson and a 21-year old woman were taken into custody. The report said two syringes were allegedly found in the rear of the vehicle, where the woman was located.
Both were charged with unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, and second-degree criminal trespass. Anderson was also held for a warrant. He was detained without bail. The woman was held on $2,500 bail.
