Roseburg Police jailed a man on child sex abuse charges Monday afternoon.

An RPD report said that 65-year old Glen Essig was charged with four counts of first- degree sex abuse at the conclusion of an investigation with detectives. The victim was a minor juvenile who was known to the suspect.

After arraignment, Essig remain detained on $75,000 bail.

No further information was released in the case.
