MOP UP CONTINUES ON THE ARCHIE CREEK FIRE

Mop up continues at the Archie Creek Fire, east of Glide.

An update from Northwest Incident Team 12 said firefighters are also working on suppression repair and on patrols inside the fire area. Crews in the southeast area of the fire completed chipping operations along Forest Service Road 4727 and conducted hazard tree mitigation along Forest Service Road 4712 on Friday. Backhaul operations continued from the southern area. The Burned Area Emergency Response Team continues their assessment of post-fire environmental conditions on National Forest lands.

265 people are working on the Archie Creek Fire which remains 94 percent contained.
