COVID-19 CLAIMS 2 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL TO 599

COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state death toll to 599, as of Saturday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 409 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 36,924. The new cases include:

*75 in Multnomah County

*73 in Lane County

*50 in Marion County

*47 in Washington County

*32 in Clackamas County

*24 in Jackson County

*14 in Linn County

*11 each in Klamath, Deschutes, Umatilla and Yamhill counties

*4 each in Baker and Crook counties

*3 each in Douglas, Curry, Hood River, and Jefferson counties

*2 each in Benton, Columbia, Morrow and Tillamook counties

*1 each in Gilliam, Harney and Polk counties

Oregon’s 598th COVID-19 death is a 76-year old man in Washington County who tested positive on August 10th and died on October 4th at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center

Oregon’s 599th COVID-19 death is an 88-year-old woman in Washington County who tested positive on September 28th and died on October 9th at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center

Both had underlying conditions, according to the OHA.
