OVER 7,200 HAVE REGISTERED FOR FEMA ASSISTANCE

Over 7,200 people impacted by recent wildfires in the state, have registered for possible disaster assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency

Nate Custer from FEMA said registration is open for those affected in Douglas and seven other counties. Custer said people can apply by going to: https://www.disasterassistance.gov/, by phone at 800-621-3362, or by using the FEMA app.

FEMA has External Outreach Centers in Medford and Eugene, and are coordinating with local officials to identify sites for additional centers.

Disaster Survivor Assistance teams are in several locations around the state, including at Glide High School. They are available to meet with those needing help, weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
