COVID-19 CLAIMS 1 MORE LIFE, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 572 AS OF SUNDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 1 more life, raising the state’s death toll to 572, as of Sunday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 260 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 34,770. The new cases include:

*61 in Multnomah County

*37 in Marion County

*35 in Washington County

*29 in Lane County

*16 in Clackamas County

*14 in Malheur County

*11 in Umatilla County

*10 in Yamhill County

*9 in Jackson County

*8 in Deschutes County

*6 in Linn County

*4 each in Douglas, Jefferson, Linn and Polk counties

*3 each in Columbia and Coos counties

*2 each in Klamath and Morrow counties

*1 each in Benton and Lincoln counties

Oregon’s 572nd COVID-19 death is an 80-year old man in Marion County who tested positive on September 24th and died on October 2nd at Salem Hospital. He had underlying conditions, according to the OHA.
