ROSEBURG HAD RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE ON TUESDAY

Roseburg had a record high temperature for the date on Tuesday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said the mercury reached 96 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The previous record high for September 29th was 93 degrees, set in 2011.

Medford had a record high for the date as well, getting to 98 degrees. The previous record high was 96 degrees set in 1987.

Smoky conditions are expected for both communities on Wednesday. Roseburg is forecast to get to the upper 80’s while Medford will be in the mid 90’s
