Contractors working for the City of Roseburg will be performing night work on Northeast Winchester Street starting this Sunday.
Communications Specialist Eric Johnson said work will continue through next Tuesday, October 6th. During that time, contractors will begin paving the street, which will extend its useful life, and provide a smooth surface for driving.
Johnson said from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. contractors will be paving and raising manholes and valves along the street. During that time frame, one lane will remain open for traffic. On Monday evening, the north bound lane will be closed, while the southbound lane will be closed Tuesday night.
Johnson said traffic impacts are projected to be minimal. Due to the nature and timing of the work being done, nearby residents will experience higher than normal noise levels.
