The Archie Creek Fire, burning east of Glide is 72 percent contained with no fire growth.

The latest update from the Southern Area Red Team said firefighters are continuing to patrol, mop up, make sure fire lines are cold, backhaul fire hose and other equipment, and assess and continue suppression repair. Hand crews will construct remaining fire line directly at the fire’s edge, where necessary and accessible. 863 people are working on the fire.

The Thielsen Fire, near Diamond Lake Resort, remains 69 percent contained with no growth in size as well. 302 people remain assigned to that fire.
