4 more people have received positive test results for COVID-19 in Douglas County, as of Saturday.

An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases is now 229. Of this, 207 are people that have received positive test results and 22 are presumptive. There have been 4 deaths. 6 people are hospitalized currently for COVID-19 locally. 38 people are in isolation. 12,793 people have tested negative for COVID-19 in the county.

The update said the new cases can be attributed to travel and to choosing to attend social gatherings where COVID-19 guidelines for social distancing, food preparation, hand washing and masks are not being followed.

The next drive through testing clinic with the Douglas Public Health Network will be Tuesday in Roseburg.
