A Roseburg man was jailed after an alleged strangulation incident on Wednesday night.

The Roseburg Police report said just before 7:00 p.m. an investigation revealed that 62-year old Marlon Force reportedly spit on, struggled with and choked a female victim inside a room at the Rodeway Inn on Southeast Stephens. The report said the suspect then tried to slam the door on officers and pull away when being arrested. He was detained without further incident.

Charges included strangulation, harassment and for resisting arrest. He was released from custody on Thursday morning.
